Isolated

The back cover blurb for my first hockey Romance, Isolated. Draft 1.

Konstantin Andropov is a gold medal winning Russian hockey player hiding a secret. He’s gay in a country that isn’t known for acceptance. When his secret is revealed by unscrupulous media, his father, a hard taskmaster and his son’s trainer sells Konstantin’s contract to a fledgling NHL hockey team, the Portland Pioneers.

The Pioneers goalkeeper, Deacon Worth, has his own secret. For years he has harboured a crush on Konstantin. Fate has thrown them together and for a short time it would seem they will get their happily ever after.

When a reporter starts a hate campaign against them, and their gruelling playing schedule intensifies it would seem that their ever after will be less than happy.

Will they survive the onslaught intact or will their futures be better spent apart?
